Secret Pyjamas: Grasser Sweatshirt Fleece Outfit

Secret Pyjamas: Grasser Sweatshirt Fleece Outfit

Guess who found the best #secretpyjamas!

I’m absolutely thrilled with how this core range sweatshirt fleece outfit turned out, made entirely from Minerva’s core range sweatshirt fleece. After sewing the Grasser No. 895 off-the-shoulder jumper a few weeks ago, I couldn’t wait to complete the look by adding the coordinating Grasser No. 896 skirt—just in time for the festive season!

The sweatshirt top has quickly become a favorite. Its slightly elevated, off-the-shoulder style pairs effortlessly with everything—from the matching skirt to relaxed jeans or leggings and boots. It’s chic, comfortable, and incredibly versatile.

Let me tell you—this cotton sweatshirt fleece is unbelievably soft and warm. It feels like a warm hug, and the best part? It gets even softer and cozier with every wash. Creating a coordinated set using this fleece instantly transforms a comfy basic into a stylish, put-together outfit. Perfect for running Christmas errands or heading to a holiday brunch in comfort and style.

The jumper also looks stunning styled with a mini leather skirt, over-the-knee boots, and vintage accessories like a satin clutch for a glam retro twist.

With so many color options available in this fleece range, it’s easy to find the perfect shade to craft your own #secretpyjamas—those secret wardrobe heroes that feel like loungewear but look polished and refined.

Both the jumper and skirt are patterns from Grasser Patterns, an independent Russian brand known for its creative and fashion-forward designs. Their catalogue is full of unique silhouettes and smart tailoring, all at budget-friendly prices. The patterns are available in English and come with detailed photo guides, which are super helpful throughout the sewing process.

The skirt, with its asymmetric cut and pleated hip detailing, was a joy to make. It’s modern and has a beautiful drape that makes it stand out. One thing I really appreciate is that Grasser lets you choose your pattern based on both size and height—such a bonus! I only had to add two inches to the length (instead of the usual six or more), which made the process a breeze. The wide yoke waistband features a soft elastic, adding to both comfort and fit.

Together, the pieces are a refreshing alternative to the typical sweatshirt-and-joggers look. They’re comfy enough for lounging, but stylish enough for heading out the door—and they’re a lot of fun to accessorize!

If you’re on the lookout for a cozy, fashion-forward alternative to traditional loungewear, I highly recommend both of these patterns. They’re ideal for anyone who loves the idea of looking dressed-up while secretly feeling like they’re still in pajamas.

Because, after all… There is Sew Much To Design.
